Surprisingly clement conditions last Saturday saw Burnage 2nds recent superb form continue, as Sale 3rds were humbled at Carrington.

A 22 point first half performance guaranteed Burnage victory over Dukinfield, adding a single try in the second half to round off a solid 27 – 0 win.

Burnage exited the National Cup with a valiant home defeat to Northwich. They leave the competition at the last 32 stage with their heads held high, having been narrowly edged out by a team who many see as favourites for the Cup.

Burnage 2nds continued from the good start to the new year with an emphatic win over higher placed Chester 3's.
