The pitch is now open for club members. 1st and 2nds, colts and 3rds & 4ths are all training regularly at the club. Here are some basic guidelines for everyone playing on the pitch and watching the sessions to follow to help keep you safe and ensure the pitch is kept in good condition.

 

Burnage RFC unveil £420,000 synthetic rugby pitch

Burnage RFC celebrated the opening of their £420,000 artificial rugby pitch with a ceremony attended by over 100 members of local councils and the rugby and wider sporting community. The full size 3rd Generation Rubber Crumb pitch is the largest of its kind in the North West and provides an unrivalled rugby facility, which is floodlit and match accredited by the IRB.

Don't forget the 3G pitch opening ceremony on Monday 5th July at 18:30. All club members are invited to attend this celebration of several years hard work and the opening of an unrivalled facility in the area. First and Second teamers will be training from 7PM, for the rest there will be food available. The mayor of Stockport, Sale Sharks head coach Mike Brewer and CEO Mick Hogan, dignitaries from the RFU, Sport England and representatives from local schools are all set to attend.
